Victor Hugo (1802-1882), one of the most important French writers, recognized that "nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come". The same applies to the new Biopract products of generation 2.0, which ensure that biogas production pays off again. Meanwhile, the trade press has been made aware of the topic "Products of the new generation" (edition JOULE, 2/2017).

Dr. Matthias Gerhardt, Managing Director of Biopract GmbH, took a detailed look at the functions, possibilities and advantages of industrial enzymes in an interview with JOULE, the specialized magazine for “energy professionals”. While the statements in JOULE are still within a theoretical framework, the 02/2017 edition of topagrar energy magazine focuses on field applications. Using the example of Hermann-Josef Benning, who owns a biogas plant in Reken, NRW since 2004, it is impressively described how the operation of the plant has changed over time. And of course, the use of enzymes also plays an important role. The reason for Benning's decision to consider alternatives to corn was the poor corn harvest in 2016, which meant that the natural raw material became scarce and expensive, operating costs increased and the proceeds inevitably decreased. Until now, farmer Benning was rather sceptical about a larger amount of manure replacing corn silage, as he describes in the article in the topagrar energy magazine.

The successful formula "more dung, less corn" by adding UltraPract® P2 with the innovative acceleration factor AC led to a considerable increase in earnings for the Benning plant. At the same time, the fermentation residue was reduced considerably. Hermann-Josef Benning was convinced by the practical test. He is certain he will continue to optimize the performance of his biogas plant and reduce costs with the enzyme preparations from Biopract in the future. You can read the full report here:
